Note

The brewery was called the Kohring Distilling Co.
It was established in 1863 and incorporated in 1902 (this was just before
the Worlds Fair there in St. Louis - only incorporated businesses could sell
their wares at the Fair which is why it was done at that time). The President was
Fred. H. Kohring, and the Sec'y & Treas. was Otto G. Kohring.

Jobst was involved somehow in this operation because on census records he was listed
as a liquor dealer in 1880 & 1900. Plus family talk had him as the person who
started it all when he first came to the U.S. I am guessing that Fred. H. is his
son Frederich Henry Kohring, and that Otto G. is his son Otto Gerhardt Kohring.
